Project Info
Introduction
Aria Data Labs Pte Ltd is a boutique technology solutions company founded in 2019 by Mr Effendi Baba, a professional who has been in the information technology industry for more than a decade.
I was brought in Aria Data Labs as an Experiential Architect for several projects, mainly dealing with UI UX planning and design. However, I am also involved in enhancing Aria’s overall branding, and hence was taking on the task as web designer, first in 2020 and then for the website’s revamp in 2023.
Challenge
Apart from a logo, and name cards that was previously designed by the founding team, Aria Data Labs lacked online presence in the form of a website or any social media profiles. This has somewhat diluted its potential for outreach and actual credibility.
Solution
I was tasked to re-design the name card, as well as to design and develop a website for the company.

ARIA DATA LABS – What Gets Measured, Gets Done
I will be showcasing the website and name card design I did for Aria Data Labs.
The Approach
Adapting a Tag Line
The tagline “What Gets Measured Gets Done” was created as a spin to a quote often attributed to author and theorist Peter Drucker: “What gets measured, gets managed.” The word “done” is added to emphasise the final output or outcome one can derive from processing and analysing data effectively, rather than “managed” which connotes control of the process.
Clean Look, Professional Feel
Mr Effendi Baba’s years of experience in the industry was one of the core strength of Aria Data Labs. However, we wanted his experience and expertise to holistically represent organisation and the team members that he brings in to Aria’s projects. Thus, my goal was for a clean and professional overall feel for the website to showcase Aria’s ability to take on projects of various scales.
Local Representation
Since Aria was targeting clients within South East Asia, I was consciously curating photos and images that represents professionals within the region to Aria is relatable to their targeted stakeholders.

Rebranding the Offering:
The Four Data Services of Aria
Aria needed a key message to emphasize what they are all about. One of the most effective way present it is to create easy to understand statements, summaries or listicles.
Upon discussing with Effendi about what are the services he wishes to offer to his clients, I came up with four key services of Aria that encompasses Aria’s capabilities:
- Data Capture
- Data Management
- Data Analysis
- Data Dissemination
This became the guideline for all subsequent copywriting and designs for Aria.
The Website
The first version of the website had vector based illustrations. However, the newly revamped site incorporates photographs as a way to increase credibility and emphasise professionalism and quality in Aria’s services.
Aria’s corporate blue and orange colours are used sporadically to accentuate rather than be driving element in the design.
Name card: Making the most out of Hotstamping
To heighten Aria’s professional representation, we decided to producing name cards that utilises hotstamping to enhance aesthetics. I carefully selected key elements of the card’s design and had them emphasized using a different layer on Photoshop.
